Gipson, NVI, Inc./GSFC =========================================================== PURPOSE AND GENERAL NOTES =========================================================== Observing link sources between GAIA and ICRF2. (Here: schedule as many sources as possible from the 24 sources of category 4 from the Bordeaux proposal.) The Laboratory d'Astrophysique de Bordeaux (LAB) submitted a proposal to observe 195 transfer sources between ICRF2 and the GAIA mission. These 195 sources are divided into four categories. The forth category contains 24 sources that are not part of the IVS source monitoring program and that have a poor position accuracy. The primary goal of observing them in several R&D sessions is to improve their position accuracy. In RD1305, we use the 24 sources of the category 4 of the GAIA proposal in the astro mode of sked. Forty of the good geodetic sources are used as base of a stable sources set and uniform sky coverage. We use the flux values provided by LAB. Unfortunately, due to the weakness of some of the sources, we were not able to schedule four of the 24 sources, and five other sources are scheduled only on single baselines.
