Session Notes for RD1301 Experiment notes by J. Gipson, NVI, Inc/NASA GSFC The purpose of this session is to test mixed-mode observing. Two of the stations--Gs and Wf--will be observing using a broadband system. (Gs is the new 12M antenna at GGAO.) The remaining stations will be using standard S-X equipment. Haystack has successfully correlated broad-band observing between Gs and Wf. In this session Haystack will see if they can extract fringes between these stations and the normal S-X stations. The schedule was written by John Gipson. The session will be correlated at Haystack. If succesful this will be the first demonstration of mixed-mode observing. In this sense this is a prototype for the kind of observing we expect to do in the future as more and more stations become broad-band. As we say in English--let's keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best. =========================================================== ----- Parameter listing -------------------------------------- Experiment: RD1301 Description R&D-01/2013 Scheduler: NASA Correlator: HAYS Start: 2013-029-17:30:00 End: 2013-030-17:30:00 Current yyyyddd: 2013029 (2013.08) ( 16322 MJD, TUES 29JAN.)
