IVS-T2076 (International VLBI Service - Terrestical Reference Frame Observations) 2011 May.03-04 doy 123-124 Institute for Geodesy and Geoinformation (IGGB) of the University of Bonn, Germany Nominal Start Time: 17h30 UT Nominal End Time: 17h30 UT Duration: 24.0 hr Correlator: see master schedule file Participating stations: Code=Station =================== Ai=AIRA Bd=BADARY Cc=CHICHI10 13=DSS13 Ma=MATERA Hb=HOBART12 Mc=MEDICINA On=ONSALA60 Ts=TSUKUB32 Mh=METSAHOV Ur=URUMQI Vm=VERAMZSW Sm=CRIMEA Ny=NYALES20 Vs=VERAISGK Wz=WETTZELL Zc=ZELENCHK Purpose ======= General the purpose of the IVS-T2 sessions is to monitor the TRF via monthly sessions. Since April 2004 the purpose of the remaining IVS-T2 sessions has been changed by the IVS OPC (Observing Program Committee). The new plan uses larger networks for each T2 session, say 16 to 20 stations, but have fewer T2 sessions during the year. The larger network should provide a stronger solution and better TRF results, even if there are fewer sessions each year. The TRF determine from single session solutions or from a global solution is very important IVS product because this is an essential part for creating the ITRF by corresponding IERS Product Center. A particular strength of VLBI is its contribution to the scale of the ITRF. Usually the TRF is computed from the 24h sessions that are dedicated to observing the EOP. Network ======= The standard configuration of the monthly observed IVS-T2 experiments consists of sixteen and more stations. All stations differ in some extent between all available IVS geodetic network stations from experiment to experiment. Schedule ======== This schedule was generated by the last updated SKED version using the EUR-SX band and the 64-16(EU-T2) EURSX-C-4 frequency setup, depending on which station are available for this observation. Variable scan lengths with a minimum 40 sec. and the most recent source flux models are included. SNR goals are 20 at X-band and S-band depent on different baselines and stations. The predicted SNRs used include a 30 ps noise contribution added in quadrature, which is a typical magnitude for the reweight constants applied in SOLVE solutions. Some important optimization features enabled for this experiment : - the covariance analysis during schedule generation considers the previous 1 hours of observations, - minor SKED optimization parameters . maximum number of observations, . minimum time, were optimized over the best ( in a covariance sense ) 75% of the possible observations, this produces a somewhat more even sky distribution, - observations were weighted by their expected SNRs, - 30 ps noise contribution added, - mimimum time between observations of the same radio source was set to 20 min - using 63 source for improving the sky covorage (and some new astrometric sources / see $ASTROMETRIC ) COMMENTS ======== For VERA-Mizusawa antenna position updated by co-located GPS by (Takaaki Jike) Session Notes for session: t2076 =========================================================== Experiment: T2076 Description IVS-T2.076 Scheduler: IGGB/Muesk Correlator: BONN Start: 2011-123-17:30:00 End: 2011-124-17:30:01 Current yyyyddd: 2011123 (2011.34) ( 15685 MJD, TUES 3MAY.) =========================================================== There are no observations for Wettzell from 18:20 U.T. to 19:40 U.T.
