EUROPE-53 (EUROPEAN Geodetic VLBI Network session No. 53) Schedule and Notes prepared by Axel Nothnagel, University of Bonn Geodetic Institute Date of experiment: 2000 January 27 Nominal start time: 12h00 UT Nominal end time: 12h00 UT on January 28, 2000 Duration: 24 hrs Correlator: Bonn Participating stations: Station Code Crimea Sm Matera Ma Medicina Mc Noto Nt Ny Alesund Ny Onsala On TIGOWTZL Tg Wettzell Wz Yebes Yb Tape usage and scans to be observed: See summary of schedule below Purpose ======= The purpose of this experiment is to determine station coordinates and their evolution in the European geodetic VLBI network with the highest precision possible. Schedule ======== The schedule was produced by Axel Nothnagel using the automatic mode of sked. The schedule was optimized for local sky coverage. Crimea, TIGOWTZL, and Yebes were scheduled in tag-along mode with a "maximum scan number" approach in order to be prepared for a short-notice drop-out of the stations. The minimum SNR on all baselines is 35 at X band and 25 at S band. The schedule was made without the early tape start feature. Wettzell was spared for IRIS-Intensive between 027-1546 and 027-1744 Procedures ========== The frequency sequence, EUR2-SX, used for the last EUROPE experiment will also be used for this experiment.
