These sessions will help reach CORE's goal of continuous data. The CORE-1 sessions use the same stations that participated in the CORE-A sessions in the first half of 2000. The CORE-A sessions, recorded simultaneously with NEOS since 1997, have provided 85 sessions with the purpose of studying differences in EOP results measured with different networks. This study is still continuing using the data already obtained. Schedule ======== This schedule was made by C. Thomas using sked. Schedule setup parameters: Early start 20 sec Minimum scan length 70 sec Maximum scan length 600 sec Minimum SNR 20 at X-band 15 at S-band Automatic scheduling setup: optimize for uniform sky coverage at all stations, maximize the number of observations, minimize slewing time, minimize time between scans, consider the top 50% of ranked scans for selection, consider the last 3 hours of scans for sky coverage calculations, minimum 40 min between scans on the same source. The characteristics of the generated schedule are listed below. These will vary slightly for each schedule that is generated. Schedule characteristics: Average scan length 120 sec Average SNR 60 at X-band, 45.6 at S-band Number of observations (delay measurements) 1337 obs Average number of scans per station 120 scans Simulation Results ================== Simulated data from this schedule was used in a global solution to estimate the formal errors. The table below lists the formal errors for Earth orientation parameters. These results meet the simulation goals for the CORE-A network. Also shown in the table are the maximum correlations between the Earth orientation parameters and other parameters. ___________________________________________________________ | | | | | | EOP | Formal | Other | | |Parameters | Errors |Parameters|Correlation| |____________|_____________________|_________ |___________| | | | | | |X-Wobble | 37.04 micro-arcsec | ------ | under 40% | | | | | | |Y-Wobble | 41.36 micro-arcsec |Tsukuba Z | 43% | | | | | | |UT1-TAI | 2.32 micro-sec |Tsukuba X | 41% | | | | | | |UT1-TAI Rate| 5.00 micro-sec/sec | ------- | under 40% | | | | | | ___________________________________________________________ Flux Information ================ Program snranal compares the measured performance of a session with respect to the predicted. The program calculates an empirical flux density for each source. In order to account for changes in the flux catalog since the last update based on source modeling, the fluxes in the flux catalog for the sources in the current source catalog were adjused using the following databases: Date Session ==== ========= 00FEB01 NEOS-A353 00FEB08 NEOS-A354 00FEB08 CORE-A081 00FEB22 NEOS-A356 00FEB29 NEOS-A357 00MAR14 NEOS-A359 00MAR21 NEOS-A360 00MAR28 NEOS-A361 00APR04 NEOS-A362 00APR11 NEOS-A363 Procedures ========== Please generate the procedures for this session using drudg.
